Skyland USA Announces New Director of Skyland, Jason Brown, to Lead Company

Landenberg, PA, March 25, 2025 – Skyland USA announced today that it promoted Jason Brown to Director of Skyland. Brown will take over leadership of the company as President Joe DiNorscia retires at the end of March.
Brown has been Sales Director at Skyland, creators of rooflite green roof soil products, since 2019. He has become an integral part of Skyland USA’s recent growth in providing green roof media to projects all over the US and in international markets like Mexico, Chile, and Australia.
As Sales Director, he has led sales efforts to bring on new customers and manage and improve the sales process, including green roof planning details, rooflite soil selection, and logistics coordination for soil delivery at jobs sites. Deeply knowledgeable about the green roof industry, Brown is the perfect fit to take over management of the thriving company.
According to DiNorscia, Brown distinguished himself from the start of his time at Skyland. “When we hired Jason, we knew he had the skills and experience we were looking for, but he quickly showed that he had an aptitude for the complexities of the green roof industry, great rapport with customers, and the ability to streamline our sales process to make it easier for customers,” said DiNorscia. “Along with that, he willingly took on more responsibility to improve our company and our processes in a lot of different areas, leading to more sales and a more efficient operation. Skyland will have a very bright future with Jason at the helm.”
For Brown, running Skyland fits in very well with his interest and experience in the green industry. He’s worked in the industry for 26 years, including introducing the Knock Out® family of shrub roses, designing and selling beautiful landscape enhancements, and selling perennials, shrubs, and trees to independent garden centers throughout the Mid-Atlantic U.S.

2025 looks to be another busy year for Skyland as it provides its rooflite green roof soil products to projects across the US. Brown looks forward to continuing to grow and promote rooflite products to new and returning customers.
Brown is happily married for 21 years and a proud father of two beautiful children, Phoenix and Aspen. When he is not working to beautify the planet with green roofs, he enjoys spending time gardening, bike-packing, and camping with his family.
