345 Meatpacking green roof featuring rooflite semi-intensive green roof media
This week’s Green Roof Project of the Week features over 3800 sq. ft. of rooflite semi-intensive green roof media in Meatpacking District of Manhattan, NY. The new landmark project from DDG Architects and Developers, the building features a unique integration of landscape into the built environment with a heavily planted entrance canopy, long linear window boxes integrated into the facade and a lush roof garden. The semi-intensive green roof media was blended at Laurel Valley Soils and has been designed to support the vigorous growth of a wide range of perennials, ornamental grasses and even small shrubs and evergreens.
