New rooflite blender in Nashville: Scott Materials

Landenberg, PA, March 24, 2020 – Skyland USA announced today that Scott Materials has joined its official blender network in Nashville, Tennessee, expanding its coverage in North America to over 20 regions. Scott Materials is a family-owned, specialty soil mix producer, manufacturer, blender and installer that covers markets from Chattanooga in the south to Southern Kentucky in the north.
As the premier provider of green roof media in the United States, rooflite regularly identifies regions in the country that are primed for growth in the green roof market. Nashville, one of the fastest growing cities in the country, is an area that looks to be ready to embrace the green roof trend. With a massive amount of growth in high-rise buildings in the downtown area, builder owners, residents and tenants are looking for more green amenities in this urban area.
As Scott Materials becomes an official blender, the greater Nashville area can now begin to use rooflite’s soil products for local green roof projects. Scott Materials, founded in 2000, is owned and managed day-to-day by the Scott family. The company started out as a landscape and irrigation company and has grown into a specialty soil company that does installations on large commercial and civic projects. In recent years, the company has seen a rapid increase in customers requesting a certified lightweight soil mix. As Scott Materials looked for a quality, lightweight product to offer, they came across rooflite and realized a partnership would set them up for critical growth.
