Customers sometimes don’t know where to start when choosing our soil products or systems for a project. We get it. There are a lot of things to consider. From the technical requirements of the roof and your plant selection to the depth and weight required for the project, it’s helpful to understand the basics of what we offer before getting into any details.

Where’s a good place to start? Our rooflite Overview. It’s a simple two-page PDF available for download that gives you a quick glance at the types of products and systems we offer to support different kinds of green roofs.

The first page provides a simple overview of the build-up of our systems:

  • On the bottom, you can see our color coded product line.
  • Above that, you can see the types of green roofs, from Extensive to Agricultural, that our products and systems support.
  • The graph above shows a few things: the systems we offer and the individual products, along with corresponding depths, that make up each system.

This information is a great way to familiarize yourself with the basics, and when you have a better idea of what you may need, you can take a look at product details, system details, and our specifications.

The second page provides simplified drawings of 9 of our 10 rooflite Soil Systems:

  • Sedum Roof
  • Rooftop Lawn
  • Perennial Roof
  • Rooftop Garden
  • Planters
  • Deep Rooftop Garden
  • Deep Planters
  • Rooftop Trees
  • Rooftop Farming

These drawings will give you an idea of what the system build-ups look like for each rooflite Soil System. The drawings in this PDF are simplified to provide you with an overview, but you can download detailed technical drawings in common formats for each system on our site on our Downloads  page.

If you’re new to rooflite or even if you’re a long-time customer, download the overview and keep it handy. We do the same thing here. It’s an easy resource to refer to as you plan and design your projects.

And if you still have questions, drop us a line. We are here to help!
