Rooftop Reds is an innovative rooftop vineyard in Brooklyn – the world’s first commercially viable urban vineyard. Started in 2016, Rooftop Reds developed a custom urban planter system, which uses the rooflite Deep Planters & Containers soil system, that allows them to grow their own grapes. The grapes, sourced from the Finger Lakes region of New York, grow in 42 containers on the roof and produce 6 different types of wine. Rooftop Reds offers beautiful views of Manhattan, a wine bar, tastings, educational sessions, and an event space.
